Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 7, 2026

What the app stores

Your favorites, personal reflection notes, reading streak, and display settings (theme, text size) are saved only on your own device, using your browser's standard local storage. This data is never transmitted anywhere, never seen by us, and is deleted automatically if you clear your browser data or uninstall the app.

What the app requests from the internet

The app loads historical portrait images directly from Wikimedia Commons (wikimedia.org), a public, freely licensed image archive, so that portraits stay accurate and the app itself stays small. Loading an image causes your device to make a standard request to Wikimedia's servers, the same as visiting any website; Wikimedia's own privacy practices apply to that request. No personal or app data is sent along with these requests beyond what any ordinary web request includes (such as your IP address and device type, which Wikimedia's servers see the same as they would from a browser).

What the app does not do

  • We do not collect, sell, or share your personal data.
  • We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts.
  • We do not require an account, login, or any personal information.
  • We do not access your contacts, location, camera, or microphone.

Children's privacy

The app does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect information at all.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same page with a new "last updated" date.

Historical event summaries draw on multiple public sources, including Christianity Today's historical archive, rewritten in original language. Verse text is the King James Version (public domain). Portraits are sourced from Wikimedia Commons, credited under each entry.
