George Whitefield

A founding figure of the Great Awakening, Whitefield preached in open fields to crowds of thousands on both sides of the Atlantic, his voice reportedly carrying to enormous outdoor gatherings without amplification. He preached an estimated 18,000 sermons in his lifetime.
