In the Life of the Saints
Often called the greatest of the English Puritan theologians, Owen served as chaplain to Oliver Cromwell and vice-chancellor of Oxford before being removed from his post at the monarchy's restoration. His dense, searching writings on sin, grace, and the Holy Spirit are still read by seminarians today.
