In the Life of the Saints
An Oxford theologian, Wycliffe oversaw the first full translation of the Bible into English, arguing that ordinary people had the right to read Scripture in their own language. Condemned as a heretic after his death, church authorities had his bones exhumed, burned, and scattered in a river.
