Susanna Wesley

The mother of nineteen children, including John and Charles Wesley, Susanna ran a rigorous school in her own home and held Sunday evening devotions so popular with neighbors that hundreds came to hear her teach. Her influence on her sons is often credited as a root of the Methodist movement.
