Theodore Beza

A gifted scholar who gave up a comfortable literary career to join the Reformation, Beza succeeded John Calvin as Geneva's leading pastor and theologian. He produced influential Greek New Testament editions used by later English Bible translators, and led Geneva's church for decades after Calvin's death.
